Emerald Brook began as a one-man garden project in Portmarnock when founder Claire Byrne transformed a wild corner into a low-maintenance sanctuary with drought-tolerant planting. Friends and neighbours asked for help, and soon a small team formed to convert bare patches into inviting spaces that thrive in Ireland’s seasons. Claire's background in horticulture and her father’s masonry workshop shaped a philosophy of durable design: sturdy hardscape work, thoughtful planting, and respect for the property's existing character. Over the years, the team expanded into residential gardens across Dublin and Cork, blending sustainable practices with a local sensibility. Today, Corrib Garden Studio partners with clients from first sketch to ongoing care, delivering gardens that are as welcoming as they are resilient.
